Good morning! Some fun updates this week, so let’s jump right into it.
The Failed Technomancer… and Most Other Projects
Progress remains as stated last week, although I am following up with my cover artist today and might update this post later (or leave that news for next week). I’m also meeting with my logo artist for my TTRPG stuff later this week. Hopefully I can show you some art soon! Both of these artists are extremely talented and I am really excited to show off what’s coming.
As a side note, I do plan on posting the first chapter or two of The Failed Technomancer here to whet appetites once I get the copyedited version in my hands. So, more on that when the time comes. Expect late December/early January.
(Edit: It was brought to my attention that I erroneously referred to this book as The Lost Technomancer in an earlier post. That was a a previous working title that has since been changed. Huge thanks to Erin for catching that for me! I’ve made the correction.)
Finally, Grand Odyssey currently sits at 52,000 words! Well, that’s rounded up, but it still beats last week’s goal of 51,000 words. Strictly speaking, that’s not a full representation of how much I wrote since I heavily revised two large scenes to get them right. Rough drafts will be rough, of course, and not everything will get fixed up before the second draft (and third, and fourth, etc), but if something feels really off I won’t stop until it’s “flowing” right. Anyway, at this rate I should be able to hit my goals of publishing two books next year and at least one book each following year.
A Super Sound Booth
My sound booth came in last week! I’ll be able to get started on the audio book the day I have the final, polished, copyedited draft of The Failed Technomancer in my hands! I’m very excited.

It’s a portable audio booth (although based on how large and heavy the duffel bag is, my definition of portable and the company’s aren’t entirely in agreement), and at some point it will be set up in my closet where, hopefully, I can work in relative quiet. Should get started on that early January 2023, maybe even late December 2022.
Signing Off
And that’s everything! For those of you keeping up with me from the very beginning, I can’t thank you enough. Big up and have an amazing week!
