Happy early Thanksgiving, everyone! My big news came last week with Dragonsteel convention. Beyond that, I’m still plugging away on all of my projects. Simple, consistent progress is good, but I will admit that it’s not very exciting to talk about.

I am not currently planning on a weekly update next week. I’m spending about half of this week with family celebrating the holiday, and just two or three days of dedicated writing just shouldn’t lead to that much news.

That said, I do still have a little bit to share!

The Failed Technomancer

I don’t have the contract in front of me right now, but if I remember the timeline for The Failed Technomancer correctly then I should have the line edits (and have begun applying them) when I next post in December. I’m really looking forward to being able to provide an update on that project, and to have direct control over it return to me! I am so grateful for my editors and the great work they do—but it will be so nice to be the one working directly on this book soon!

The other fun part about line edits is that, once those and a copyedit are done, I’ll be doing audio work soon for the audio book. That is going to be an entirely different kind of fun!

Finally, my artist told me that she predicted the cover of the book would be finished halfway through December. So, all things going according to plan, my early Christmas present to you all will be a cover picture.

Other Books

The usual here. Inner Demons is in for substantive work. Grand Odyssey is being written. (I’m a little disappointed with how little I wrote in that book last week, so my goal is to push hard and be at 67,000 words or more before I need to convert most of my writing time this week into holiday family time.) In short, things are plugging along.

Other News

The interview I mentioned last week? It’s happening! Colton reached out to me and we scheduled an interview for December, which should go up on his channel in January. I’m really excited for that!
