Happy Easter Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend with your families.
Let’s hop into it.
(Quick reminder: if you’re interested in purchasing The Failed Technomancer and haven’t done so yet, last week’s blog post has all the links for purchasing the ebook on various stores. If you’re waiting for audio or print, those are still in progress.)
The Failed Technomancer—Audio
Great news! Unfortunately, I can’t provide links to go purchase the audiobook just yet, but I did, this morning, take the last file I needed and clicked “submit” at Findaway Voices. Now they will review the files, tell me if anything needs updating, and then make the book live on the 40-ish vendors they work with (including Audible and Spotify).
We’re so close!
Inner Demon—Developmental Edits
I edited my way through about 190 pages of about 350 last week (per Microsoft Word). That’s pretty good progress! I’m judging myself roughly halfway through—while I look over halfway based on page count, after I go through and complete my bigger edits I should read through one more time to smooth out the smaller stuff before sending the book back into the editor. Regardless, things are going very well!
“Bloggyness”
As you are all well aware at this time, I’ve been reading my way through The Stranger Times books, most recently finishing Love Will Tear Us Apart—very strange, interesting book. I wouldn’t rate it as funny as the last book, but some really interesting plot and world developments occurred. I would highly recommend, but…
…
The series isn’t finished.
OK, I speak a little tongue-in-cheek. It’s good to read series that haven’t been completed yet (for a variety of reasons). It can be a really big bummer when you didn’t know that a series was unfinished, you get to the most recently published book, and you realize at the end that you have to wait another year or so for the next installment.
So, not actually a big deal. Just be more aware than me if you start this series and know that it’s unfinished! (And, you know what, I’m looking forward to reading a lot more Stranger Times books over the years.)
