Well, everyone… I hate to bring this news to you. I completely miscalculated how long it would take for me to apply line edits. I spent all of last week just grinding away at these things, and I’m going to have to completely change my projected schedule.
That’s right… I finished applying my line edits already. What I thought would be a 2–3 week project instead took 1. Hooray!
The Failed Technomancer
As mentioned above, I have finished applying line edits for The Failed Technomancer. That means this project is moving along even faster than I originally predicted, and I went right ahead to rounding up people to help me with a final copyedit polish. I’ll mention everyone’s names in the Acknowledgements sections of the final book, but I can’t share enough gratitude with each of you for helping me progress toward the finish line!
In the Meantime
Since The Failed Technomancer is back in the hands of other people, I’m back to writing other projects, including Grand Odyssey.
Since my big thing for December was preparing line edits for The Failed Technomancer and I’m done already, and since I’m going to spend a fair amount of time with family doing Christmas-y things in the coming weeks, I do not predict having much in the way of announcements for the rest of the month. If there is a week or two with no updates, do not fear for me—things are moving along swimmingly behind the scenes, and sometimes no news is good news. (I’d rather have good news to share, I’ll admit, but I’ll take no news over bad news.)
If copyedits also go faster than expected, I might have a sample chapter to share before the end of the month; I also might be able to get started on the audiobook sooner than expected. Woohoo!
Don’t forget the subscribe button in the top left—if you want an email whenever there’s a weekly update, that’s the way to get signed up.
Conclusion
A merry Christmas to you all!
